There is something that makes me quite in love with short films. And when I think about it, it boils down to these simple facts.
First, short films are... short. You don't need to set aside 2.5 hours of your night time to watch it.
Second, short films are very often on lower budgets, from rising film makers. So you see something fresh.
Third, because it's short, a lot of times what makes these films successful is the story, and idea the director is trying to tell. And they tell it in concise manner.
This is all summed up in the short film Zero. Watch it and you'll see what I mean.
