MOVIE REVIEW // Hardcore Henry

Hardcore Henry is the story of a man resurrected from death with absolutely no memory who must save his wife from a telekinetic bad ass with a plan to bio-engineer soldiers. The entire movie is shot from the first person perspective of the main character, Henry. Along the way you meet a crazy guy named Jimmy who seems to have a ridiculous amount of personalities. You experience the movie through the eyes of the main character. It almost seems like you yourself are the main character. This movie hit theaters on April 8, 2016 and was directed by Ilya Naishuller.

It starred an amazing cast including actors such as:
Sharlto Copley
Tim Roth
Haley Bennet
Danila Kozlovsky
& Andrei Dementiev

As soon as I watched the trailer for this one, I immediately wanted to see the movie. The preview was action packed, and the fact that the entire movie is filmed from the first person perspective of the main character was pretty fuckin' awesome. It made for a beautiful action film. The excitement that this movie brings to you is amazing. One of those, how did they come up with this kind of ideas. Maybe some of the acting is a little weird, and off at times, but, I think Sharlto Copley's performance was enough to make you forget about that. His character gave the movie that extra bit it needed to be more than just an action movie, but a movie with very unique and well portrayed characters.

At times you might even forget like you're watching a movie and feel like you're playing a video game without a controller. I get reminded of the "RocketJump" channel from YouTube whenever I watch this movie. The style of some of their videos almost looks like it comes straight out of this movie. I think a lot of action movies should be made from the first person perspective like this one was. It makes it much much more interesting in my opinion, I'm honestly confused as to why not too many people actually saw this movie. It's pretty incredible. Give it a watch and see for yourself! I give this one a 5/5. It's fuckin' bad ass.
