Hi friends! I want to suggest a movie to watch. "Please Stand By" is a 2017 drama/comedy movie directed by Ben Lewin. This film got IMDB 6.5 which is good enough. I liked the story and casting. It is about an autistic girl who has a brilliant ability in writing and tries to send her script about a new episode of Star Trek for a writing contest.
The idea is very nice. We have many of these people with autism and other disabilities around us, but they are much better than us at least on a very specific subject.
If we ignore the average play of Dakota Fanning, I enjoyed the structure and the story. We need to accept that playing in the role of an autistic person is not easy and even impossible.
There is a good interaction between Wendy ( Dakota Fanning) and other roles. We can see the normal life of an autistic person in the society. I believe the writer did not want to highlight the dark side of the society which pushes away the autistic people carelessly, however, we can see some signs on the bus, store and rubbery scenes.
In general, the movie has several positive messages and I recommend it to watch.
