There maybe a few spoilers in here so tread with caution if you haven't watched either of the two movies yet.

Captain Marvel is a good movie while the plot may not live up to some of the best Marvel movies out there it seemed to matter to a lot of the younger audience in the crowd who seemed to love it. I personally found some parts of the movie to be average and others excellent.

In a predominantly male-centric Marvel universe, Captain Marvel was rather refreshing to watch. Otherwise usually we haven't had any strong female characters who were sexualised on-screen. Black Panther was a good effort.

In an era where everything is sexualised, Captain Marvel is not in any scene of the movie. In my opinion that's a good thing in itself. The subplot and symbolism was on-point in the movie. Shackled from using her true powers and having to fight back a system pushing her down and the movie ending with her breaking free from her restraints was pretty awesome.

Despite a few potholes I enjoyed the movie. As far as the viewing experience goes the 3D sucked and everything seemed a bit darker than it should be. I generally hate the regular 3D experience and the viewing at Cinepolis (a multiplex common across top Indian cities) reinforced that.

2D would've made a better viewing experience perhaps and it's disappointing that they continue releasing such movies on half-baked 3D.

Overall I felt the second half was excellent enough to make me want to watch a sequel and also got me excited about the Avengers Endgame. Nearly everyone in the packed multiplex waited for ending credits only to watch our favourite Flerken vomit which was funny. I would really like a sequel to Captain Marvels as she's probably one, if not the strongest character in the Marvel universe.

I rate this movie 7.5/10

The movie was bit of a dud in the first half for me. I was bored and wanted to leave. Second half was good enough and it managed to keep my interest. A couple of interesting bits and plot twists but many boring bits in the middle.

The style of narration in the movie is also boring. Acting in some sequences is subpar. The voices seemed to be dubbed which also made things worse as I felt they didn't do a good job of it. The plot is filled with holes.

You may or may not like the movie depending on how much attention you pay to details when you are at the multiplex.

The second half of this revenge story, whodunit type movie gets you guessing and with a few plot twists thrown in for good measure makes you feel you somehow managed to get your money's worth.

There were a few moments which weren't believable at all and it felt hard to think a top businesswoman as her would take such impractical or illogical decisions in her life vs her business. But for the sake of the story telling and movie making we go with it.

Anyway, my verdict is a 5/10 and that's stretching it.

Thanks for sharing! I'm a little fed up with all the superhero stuff but people seem to vote for it with cash in the box office. I'll wait until this one gets streamed to take a look at it tho.

Ahmitab (is the spelling correct?) is one of my favorites,, looking forward to seeing the movie. Now all i'll do this new week is watch movies (no work, lol) #bollywoodlover

Amitabh is the correct spelling. Hope you like the movie. I recommend watching Pink. Same actors. :)

Badla was a bit of a disappointment

Going to watch Badla tonight but now I m scared.

Marvel movies always take us to the heights of imaginations.
