Uncharted: the film still under discussion

After changing several times as screenwriter and director, the development of Uncharted's cinematic adaptation had reached a certain stability.Nevertheless, everything is not yet finalized despite the progress of the project.

In development since 2009, the film Uncharted has taken an interesting turn in recent months (after years of back and forth in the technical staff) with the officialization of Joe Carnahan for the screenplay as well as the presence of comedian Tom Holland Spider-Man: Homecoming) to the cast of adaptation to play the young Nathan Drake before meeting Victor Sullivan (known as Sully). The idea would be to propose a prequel in which we would discover this famous meeting between the two characters of the license, a bit like in some scenes of flashback of Uncharted 3. 

 However, Tom Holland assures in an interview for JOE.ie that the film based on the famous franchise of the studio Naughty Dog is not yet completely officialized by Sony Pictures: " The idea is to create a history on the origins Of Nathan Drake, something that one did not really see as the games take place later in his life; But for the moment it is only a discussion. I spoke with Tom Rothman and we came up with that idea, and then I talked to Shawn Levy about this idea and believe me, that's something I would like to do, but Will depend on whether the project succeeds.

The shooting of the movie Uncharted would be imminent

If everything is not yet engraved in the marble, the shooting of Uncharted for the big screen would be planned by spring 2017 in Colombia. Let's bet that we should not be too late to have new information from Sony Pictures in the coming weeks.
