Holy Smokes!
Jeff Goldblum is the real-deal-boss-daddy-motherfucker-badass-gangsta pimp. Thank you so much Taika Waititi for saving the Thor series.
And you gotta love the LGBT cinema. I’m talkin’ about Thor half naked for two minutes talking to Mark Ruffalo about a safe passage through the anus. Now that’s just fuckin’ hilarious.
All the shit you need to know
If you don’t know who Taika Waititi is, he’s the Director of ‘What We Do in the Shadows’ and ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’ (two funny-as-fuck movies you should totally watch). And now, he has directed our featured movie of the day: Thor Ragnarok.
So Thor is now stuck on some strange planet doing Gladiator stuff and needs to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok, basically the Armageddon Asgard, at the hands of badass new villain, Dark Galadriel.
Okay. Let’s get to it.
Ragnarok is funny as fuuuuuck. Watching Thor Ragnarok is just super fun and enjoyable, and everyone in the movie did it good justice. Firing Natalie Portman was … yeah.
Everyone was just great in this film. Chris Hemsworth, with his charming sense of humor, is simply perfect as Thor. He has great chemistry with all of the characters too, especially Hulk. I like those moments when Thor converses with Hulk and says lots of stupid shit to try to get into his head. There were lots of chuckles in there. Cate Blanchett was so badass. I’ve never actually seen her in this kind of role before. All movies I’ve seen with her in it are all super serious, and I just wish she had more screen time. Jeff Goldblum is Jeff Goldblum, and that’s fun: I think he’s my favorite character in this movie.
There were a hell lot of punch lines in Ragnarok, nothing that would make you laugh really hard though, but you ought to chuckle quite loudly from time to time.

So SHOULD you watch Thor: Ragnarok?
Definitely. For me, Thor: Ragnarok is one of the best in the MCU.
I just kinda wish it wasn’t entirely fun and games, coz Thor: The Dark World gave us a pretty suspenseful cliff-hanging ending, thanks to Loki, and the way it all turn out in Ragnarok wasn’t executed to be as intense as it should have been.
There were parts in the movie that, I think, should have been more dramatic, because one thing that the movie failed to do is: to hit me through the heart. Sometimes we need a good drama, even in a comedy movie, to say you got 100% movie experience.
In the end, Ian Jonas says:
Thor: Ragnarok is … AMAZEBALLS.
What about you?
Have you seen ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ yet? What did you think of the movie? What’s your favorite part? Were there aspects of the movie I failed to address and should have? Leave a comment and let me know. Check out my profile to see more.
Cheers!
I enjoyed the hell out of it myself. Korg was an amazing character, and Waititi was hilarious in that role. The soundtrack by Mark Motherbaugh (of DEVO fame) was fucking stellar. And Goldblum is.....well Goldblum is.
