এবারের মেরিল প্রথম আলো পুরষ্কারে সেরা অভিনেতার পুরষ্কার পেয়েছেন খাঁচার অভিনয় শিল্পী আজাদ আবুল কালাম!
মাটির ময়নার পর দেখা সেরা বাংলা চলচ্চিত্র। খাঁচা দেখার পর প্রায় বিশ মিনিটের মতো স্তব্ধ হয়ে বসেছিলাম! এতো সুন্দর চলচ্চিত্র, কি অভিনয়, লোকেশন থেকে দৃশ্যায়ন, পরিচালনা! এককথায় মাস্টারক্লাস।
খাঁচা হলে দেখে বের হওয়ার সময়ই পাশের এক বড় ভাইকে বলছিলাম, এবার মেরিল প্রথম আলো পুরষ্কার আর জাতীয় চলচ্চিত্র পুরষ্কারে সেরা চলচ্চিত্র, সেরা পরিচালক, সেরা অভিনেতা, সেরা অভিনেতার পুরষ্কার সব খাঁচারই হবে। অভিনেতায় আজাদ আবুল কালামই পাবে, আর যদি ভাগ্যক্রমে না পায় তবে মামুনুর রশীদ ধরে রাখেন।
অভিনেত্রীতে খাঁচারই জয়া আহসান হবে। কিন্তু জয়া আহসান হলেন না। এবার পেলেন রুনা খান। ছিটকিনিতে তাঁর অভিনয় অনবদ্য ছিলো। এককথায় অপূর্ব। কিন্তু আমার কাছে রুনার চেয়ে জয়া আহসানের অভিনয়ই বেশী নজর কেড়েছে। এই মানের অভিনয় গত এক যুগে শেষ বোধহয় দেখেছি অজ্ঞাতনামায় ফজলুর রহমান বাবুর অভিনয়ে। আর অভিনেত্রী হিসেব করলে মাটির ময়না'য় রোকেয়া প্রাচীর অভিনয়ে। তবে দুর্ভাগ্যবশত পেলেন না জয়া আহসান।
