A feather came from the sky to tell us a story about everyone's life, about its sweetness, about its sadness, about its justice, about its injustice; a story about true love that describes historically an American society through the 60’s-70’s-80’s in an unique way, a real piece of poetry in the film industry.
When I watched it, two weeks before its premiere I love it yet for most people in my country wouldn’t pay a dime for it. Only after the Oscar’s critics, people started to talk about the movie and I wonder if they really grasped its deep meanings. As all genuine art: awaken your spiritual nature so that “Forrest Gump” the movie became to be a Classic.
A friend of mine told me that I resembled her Forrest, I felt flatter even thou for most people Forrest was a dumb kind of a guy, a slow thinker. To me, he was a silent hero who took live as it came overcoming all sort of circumstances by grace.
Forrest had a good mentor, his mother, who taught him all he needed to know. Her intention was to make him a straight forward man, try to correct his tangled way of walk then...
Forrest met Jenny in the school bus. Jenny represents life. Life who was beautiful, playful, innocent but at the same time trouble, confuse and abused. Forrest felt in love with life “Jenny” but all what life told Forrest was “Run Forrest Run” so did he. His running stretch him out, helped him all through his life until at last came into terms with life itself to realize its greatness, its beauty, its power on his precious son’s eyes.
I could learn from the movie that you should listen to your mentors, be in love with life and continuously be in touch with it, think about it, dream about it, write to it, even marry to it. So no matter how trouble it is you will always be able to appreciate and be thankful.
Bubba represents clarity, in everyone's life it is indispensable to have it. To really know what to do that’s “Clarity” (Bubba) who became Forrest's best friend. Bubba presented Jesus Christ to Forest because they went to church together or maybe Forrest was already a Christian, the truth is that with Jesus "all things work for good". If you know what to do, you are clear and God himself is on your side.
Lieutenant Dan represents sin, man without God, man under human laws. A man destined to die as he himself said in a scene. Forest rescued Lieutenant Dan, God’s second change to stop his generational curse, to stop the rigidity of everything established. Lieutenant Dan had a new Captain, a Captain who
allowed him to experience miracles, a Captain who literally made him whole physically and spiritually.
Finally, Forest could peacefully tell his life's story on a sunny day sitting on a bus stop bench. A God's infinite grace story for those who want to see.
Forrest’s son represents a new generation that is now taking over. Who would Little Forrest meet this time? How would live be presented to him? What new adventures would he live? Wondering about these things, Forrest dismissed his son again sitting on school bus stop.
Meanwhile the feather that we began with fell and was taken by the wind back to the sky reminding me the thought "coincidence are the most beautiful things done by God where he does not leave his signature". what do you think Steemians? Was Forrest's destiny made by God? or was it made by himself?
