A guide to social criticism movies.

Today's review is the movie what I watched when I was in elementary school from my mother's video. At that time, I fell asleep a lot because I didn't know why I was watching such a dull movie without any conflict. Even my mom fell asleep with me. So, when there's a re-run, I watched. I found out that it was an early work by the director who filmed "Our Little Sister " and "I wish" so this time, I tried not to fall asleep and watch it. But I confess that I was dozing off(I hope to change my habit falling asleep watching the movie).

The story is sad and harsh, but if the atmosphere is calm, the paradox maximizes your sadness. In music "Broccoli you too" is playing that way(I am sorry that I am not able to follows the music trend). His philomography gives him a sense of focus on 'everyday' rather than 'incident'. Among his works, this movie shows it best.

Movie focused more on the 'everyday' of abandoned children than on child abuse 'incidents'. There are many eating, sleeping, and washing scenes. A movie dealing with a social criticism tends to provoke public indignation rather than the quality of the movie itself. However, the way of this movie to create sadness is different from the way we know it. As in Koreeda Hirokazu's films, the screen is beautiful. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom and sunny. He doesn't make the dark mood, the main character doesn't act as a tear and the sad music does not fall, but we feel sad in the deep part of heart.

I really like the main character's acting. It wasn't a role that required a lot of acting skill, but I can say he did a good job because he did enough (He won the best actor for this movie at Cannes Film Festival).

It is not easy to critic production, story, music, or photography badly. All settings are good. I like the way they meet the most appropriate helper, and the way we meet the helper. However, the way to proceed with the movie is gentle, and in other words, dull. The calm and dull makes the viewer sad and sorry.

It started again. Good movies are a dilemma. I want to write a good review to watch people who haven't seen this movie, and to make viewers feel empathy, but it's hard. Among the sad movies released in such a calm manner is [Han Gong-ju] performance by Chun Woo-hee, who won the Best Actress Award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards. I also recommend the movie and finish the review.
