I don't like horror movies because they have a set story. Stories are like

  1. People who visit a specific place or use a thing are dying.

  2. The main character and the party experience it (visit, use, occupy, etc.) and the group dies except main character.

  3. It turned out to be the result of the spirits who has grudge.

this kind. Or the story of a psychopath killer. And surprise images and sounds. Most movies can be made without serious considering. With a rough tongue, you can make the movie if you can direct horribly. You can make the movie called "Cellular", cell phone users are dying. Or "Subway", with death in the subway, and so on.

However, the Quiet Place was a horror movie that showed signs of considering.

This movie is neat. The movie starts quietly and ends with the heartbeat of the audience. The 90 minutes of running time was just the right time. As the title suggests, the material is 'sound'. In all of movies, including horror movie, the sound was always the background. In this movie, sound is not only the background but also the most important material. The sound of the characters made the audience listen. The direction is incredible

It is a horror movie, but family love is the main theme. A family that runs away from the Creature who threatens the human race leads the movie. Many of the reasons I didn't like horror movies were that they were just frightening and frightening without a message. When I saw horror movies, I thought the messages are no more than 'Don't show off, or you may die' and 'Be kind, or some ghost will kill you'.

Of course, not all movies have to contain messages. Amusement movies are good in themselves, even if they are just funny. You might say horror movies are enough if it is scary. But at least for me, scary is not positive feeling and negatively awkward for me. So, I don't like the scary movie.

I keep talking about the whole horror movie, when I go back to it, this is not just scary. It has a thrill. They made a smart choice to create this thrilling atmosphere. They increased the audience's immersion by skipping a lot without explaining each one individually, and reduced running time to prevent loosing the pace. Still, there is nothing that is not understood. Most of the actions of the main characters make sense. I didn't understand the actions of the characters in many horror movies(why go in there! alone!).

It is innovative to use the least amount of sound while filming a movie. The audience's response to the new material can be divided into two. One is, "Without sound, movies suck" and the second is, "You can be so good even if you keep the sound as low as you can". This movie has a second reaction.

My one line review is 'The movie I want to show people that horror movies are enough if it is scary'.
