In Sept 2015, Kinberg commented on the likelihood of a sequel for Deadpool: "we we tend tore talking concerning the sequel whereas we were creating the picture simply because after you build a movie like this that is from a serialized supply material, you hope that it is the initial of many". By the discharge of Deadpool, Fox had already greenlit the sequel, with Reese and Wernick returning to jot down, and Miller being checked out to come as director. In Gregorian calendar month 2016, Fox confirmed that the sequel is in development with Miller, Reese, Wernick and Reynolds returning.
