At first, the film highlighting several of its characters in turns, that they're coming in a town called Flagstone. They are one by one appearing to take care of their respective interests. Starting from the first figure mentioned throughout the film as Harmonica man. Then there is a fugitive named Cheyenne who is accused of killing a family in that city. Then there was Frank a cold-blooded assassin who had many followers. Plus the presence of a beautiful woman named Jill McBain makes the story in this film more complex. What exactly is the purpose of the four figures coming to Flagstone City?
It starts with a long opening scene of approximately 20 minutes. In this opening scene, the aura is very thick of his suspense. Walking slowly and quietly without musical accompaniment. Must be patient in this section, because it will make the mood up and down. After the long opening scene and draining the patience, the movie runs wilder. The focus of the story began to spread here and there, in this section I was made tossed and slightly confused. Many of the mysteries emerging from the characters, their intentions and goals appear to be faint. It feels like forcing stories to meld into one. Until the middle of the film slowly the goal of each character is open.
But not all the character, with cleverly Sergio Leone still maintain a mystery that makes me still curious. This is where the movie begins, Sergio Leone continues to crowd his audience with entertaining scenes, brutal shoot-out scenes, corpses everywhere, cluttering on trains, treachery and coupled with a few romance scenes lets me follow his story to the end. The more value in this movie is on the beautiful cinematography. Indeed in terms of the story feels like forced, but the scenes that appear packed with very epic and detail. When asked to choose which one I prefer between once upon a time in the west and the good, the bad and the ugly, I prefer the good, the bad and the ugly. Although the aura of suspense this film feels more powerful and cinematic is more beautiful. But at least The good, the bad and the ugly are more successful at entertaining me and not making me feel swayed.
