Story: At a picturesque writer’s retreat in Morocco, a recently single novelist forges an unexpected bond with a younger man who’s at a crossroads in his life.

Review: Right from the start, this film falls into the realm of mediocrity, burdened by an overly predictable narrative and a lack of any genuine twists. Despite a solid performance from a likable cast, the story fails to elevate itself beyond the realm of clichés.

The setting is undeniably stunning—a tranquil writer’s retreat in Marrakech—where Katherine (Laura Dern), a novelist newly freed from a relationship, seeks solace and isolation to complete her latest book. There, she encounters a seemingly perfect couple: Owen (Liam Hemsworth), a private equity professional, and Lily (Diana Silvers), a fledgling writer who has found quick success with her debut novel. As the story unfolds, cracks in their relationship become evident, and a series of contrived scenarios place Katherine and Owen in close proximity, leading to an inevitable romance despite their age
