Nightmare Alley review.

I need to start seeing more bad movies or I'm going to sound like Homer Simpson as a food critic before he gave into peer pressure; but, I'll call em as I see em.

This is a great movie.

For those not familiar with the original or just those who are being your assumptions on the trailer; no, this isn't a horror movie and it's not American Horror Story: Freakshow. I know that Guillermo del Toro has a great track record in horror, fantasy, creature features, etc. Still, despite the creep factor being present, this is Noir as the original was. It's a story about addiction, seduction, ambition, and narcissism.

The movie looks beautiful while haunting. The production design was on point throughout. The performances, especially those of Bradley Cooper and Cate Blanchett, were great across the board.

It's odd that some reviews are talking about a twist ending. I wasn't surprised. It was better than a twist ending. It just came to a necessary conclusion.
