A lot of people were seemingly appalled that the movie makers would decide to finish Rust after Hutchen's death.
So long as they fixed the on set problems, I think it was probably the right choice. If I were to die on a film set, I would probably want it to be finished.
This isn't the same thing as Midnight Rider, where it was the recklessness and disregard for safety from the director himself got a crew member killed.
