The Men in Black are Back. Or should I say Thor 3? Or is it Men in Black 4 and not a reboot? Or just a weak copy of the previous MiB movies packed with some new ideas? I don't know...

The Story:

As a small child, Molly saw a small alien being sought and helped it escape from the Men in Black. The Men in Black erased the memory of Molly's parents but not that of the little girl. With the memory of this alien, Molly, now an adult young woman, is fascinated by the world behind the world and tries everything to become part of it. Through a random unauthorized landing of a spaceship, which Molly can make out, she manages to get the attention of the Men in Black and she gets a chance to prove herself as an agent on trial.

Agent O sends Molly, now Agent M on probation to London to work on a tricky case. In a London nightclub she is supposed to look after an alien together with the somewhat unconventional agent H. The alien gets attacked and is seriously injured by an ambush. Shortly before his death the alien hands over a small thing to Agent M and the secret that a traitor sits within the MiB organisation....

My Opinion:

...I don't think the movie really knows what it is, because it has a lot of elements and allusions to the previous movies, to the previous movies of the actors and tries to make a mix of everything with some new ideas. In short, the new/old film lacks by its own personal touch, so that it could stand out from all these things and elements.

The two main actors Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson are looking good for the movie and the two acting personalities Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson give the whole thing a charisma but more than good poses, which you normally know from photo shoots, the film doesn't show us. Even the jokes don't get funny and sometimes you think Eh, Ok...? like you're smiling out of politeness, even though the joke wasn't funny at all.

Most CGI effects are not really convincing and it looks very artificial. It is also the same with the aliens that were animated as puppets, they aren't good produced, nor the haughty, almost arrogant Agent H played by Chris Hemsworth isn't very convincing either.

Even if the movie starts with a big twist, you can easily see through it after 15 minutes. Even if this is supposed to explain the naive behavior of Chris Hemsworth's character, it's more like it's just a setup. Or even weaker I found the scene in which Chris Hemsworth picks up a hammer and then the film gives a Thor effect. The producer have should left that in any case.

But the movie still remains true to what is promised in the title. It is international and shows us many beautiful places from europe and changes like a slide show from one great scenery to the next. But beyond that the evil aliens are also very unconvincing. Except the Les Twins, the dancing twins who give their best dance skills in the film. They are nice to watch dancing.

I think that the film is unnecessary. They have thrown something together which uses a lot of elements from the three previous Men in Black movies, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson as shooting stars, Liam Neeson and Emma Thompson to support the whole thing. The whole thing has a very simple but good story, which was badly implemented and is accompanied by bad CGI. After having watched the movie, you don't necessarily have to get neuralized to forget the whole thing, you can watch the movie but it's definitely not a highlight.

That's why I gave the film generous 6 stars at IMDb, although I would like to rate it with 5.7 stars.

This was a horrible movie... most movies that have a chinese company (in this case tencent) helping with or outright doing the CGI suck... and they pander to chinese (did you notice the chinese language at the airport??) ... this movie sucked ass... we watched about 80-90% of it and then just turned it off... didn't even care to see the end
