The review for movie "Serena" from @kssenia

George Pemberton's Sawmill is on the verge of collapse. He’d be happy to move to Brazil, but his partners are a million short to wrap the business in Carolina and move to the tropics to cut the mahogany trees. Unexpectedly, the hero gets to know the blond Serena, falls in love with her and carries the passionate beauty into his God-forsaken wilderness. Born Amazon, the lady gains the respect of rough lumberjacks with the ability to tame a horse and even train golden eagles.

The girl's capitals help overcome the crisis, and the lady is already waiting for the child from the handsome George.
Yet, this event by itself doesn’t bring peace and quit in the movie as Pemberton's partner decided to cheat George. The Amazon at heart the beauty shows firmness, urging her husband to crack down on the traitor.

Thus, in the movie, beautiful forestlands become the crime scene. Yet, the main gun had not yet fired. A clumsy girl with a big belly, having met a young couple at the beginning of the picture, who now is the mother of George’s illegitimate son. The baby becomes the cause of the terrible jealousy of the Jennifer Lawrence’s character. Soon, George’s fatherly love and passionate feelings for his wife became the theater of war over George's soul.

Overall Impression

Among the shortcomings of the film, one can name a slow initial development, and a too abrupt climax and the finale, but this retro film, in general, is good, and the choice of actors in the "Serena" was first-class. I really liked Jennifer Lawrence’s performance. The absence of glamor and various frills in the movie makes the life of ordinary people seemed more realistic.
