I really wish there was a way for this nonsense to stop.

I swear that scammers have certain seasons where they just have to pop up and annoy the hell out of people. While shifting through my emails I came across this:

If this doesn't scream scam, I don't know what does. Seriously. I don't respond to them obviously, but I will repost them to see if my friends have received a similar one and we compare "notes".

Then there's the calls. mein Gott These are relentless. They are so frequent, I've actually set my watch by them (I've also run out of space on my "block list" on my phone. My phone call conversation about 8 hours ago (at supper time). Unfortunately, one of my elder kidlets answered the phone thinking it was my son back East. Enjoy.

Scanner: “Hello H, this is Mike from VISA/MasterCard Services.”
Me: “Gentlemen, in three hours I want confirmation...”
‘Mike’: ”We really need to talk
Me: “that the quarter is ours..’
‘Mike’: “I wanted to talk to you about your credit card with us.”
Me: “and SS Command has been cleared of every living soul.
‘Mike’: “H. This is seri… Wait! Who’s SS Command? starts complaining to someone in background
Me: “You all know what must be done.”
‘Mike’: “Oh. My. God......”
Me: “By nightfall I want to know that Hitler's Germany has seen its last sunrise.”
‘Mike’: “He's gonna kill Hitler! “ slams phone in my ear

I've used this particular response with a different scammer (I have several that I have written down just in case I accidentally end up speaking with one of these fine upstanding individuals) once before and received a somewhat similar response instead of their constant "threats" buddy was more panicked than this evening's "Mike". This Mike started crying.

I won't go as far as replying to the emails, but like I mentioned, if I happen to answer the phone and it's a scammer, I'll have a bit of fun, since for the few minutes I'm annoying or in this case scaring them I can keep them from hurting someone else financially.

I have these -all- of the time. I ignore them. Unless they call, then I play with them ;)

I love playing with them, they're easily messed with :D
