iBoy -
We started the 2017 with the premiere of the British iBoy in January, in which we find a tremendously popular face for fans of science fiction: Maisie Williams, a.k.a. Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. iBoy may not be the typical sci-fi movie, but its concept is rather curious, which makes it worthy to appear on our list of best science fiction films of 2017.
Logan -
The Marvel Comics factory seems to be an endless source of ideas for the big screen, and this new installment of Wolverine is good proof of it. In the third and final film focused on Wolverine we will see Hugh Hackman as Logan, who this time will be vulnerable without his powers. How will your mentor Charles Xavier protect him?
Without a doubt, Logan's was one of the sci-fi premieres of the year for both the hype and the quality of the film, which has garnered great reviews since landing in theaters on March 3.
Ghost in the shell -
Without leaving March we find another science fiction hit this 2017, we refer to Ghost in the Shell. The followers of the saga of videogames have been able to enjoy this year of its adaptation to the big screen, no more and less than with Scarlett Johansson as protagonist. Johansson will be the young Motoko Kusanagi, the leader of the elite operative group, Section 9, in charge of fighting cyberterrorism and technological crimes.
The circle -
Also in May we met The Circle, a film that moves away from the previous ones in that it is not a thriller of suspense and action, but more of a dystopian future that does not get us too far. Emma Watson and Tom Hanks star in a movie in which we will see the British play Mae Holland, a newcomer to The Circle, the most influential internet company in the world (any resemblance to Google is pure coincidence, je).
Transformers: The Last Knight -
Michael Bay presented this August the fifth installment of Transformers, a film that, both by budget and by cast of actors, is called to be one of the science fiction films of this year.
It -
The coulophobia has a sole responsible: Stephen King. The work of the prolific writer of Portland has served as inspiration for numerous films, and in the case of It, by double. This September It (2017) has come to decimate the child population of a Maine town. Does your name sound familiar? Pennywise has returned to the streets.
