So I give an overall score of 6/10 for #TheWitcher - here's why:
Scenery - 9/10
Music - 9/10
Storyline - 4/10
Acting - 6/10
Action - 3/10
Scenery - there are some beautiful scenes, the insides of castles, inns, etc are well-decorated and really give off a great "medieval fantasy vibe". Some of the imagery in the Brokilon forest is beautiful as well.
Music - the music I assume is composed by the same people that did the music in the Witcher games, and is, therefore; fantastic.
Storyline - here's where it gets complicated. In the very first episode, I was nearly brought to tears. This happened again in a later episode, so there were some moments where the storyline converged in a beautiful way. But for the most part, I found the story hard to follow and lacking in interest. I found myself many times being confused as to what was going on and who was who. I tend to pay attention very well to shows that I give my time to (don't watch much TV or movies at all), and this show had my complete attention and focus. I still didn't understand the underlying plot (even though I played the games). Often found myself wondering, "Ok when are they going to shut up and fight?"
Acting - there are several characters who I would say play their parts excellently, and these are the main characters, especially Geralt. If I was to rank him by himself, it'd be an easy 10/10. And Jaskier. However, the side characters that usually have no name or slim introductions just came off really cheesy. It was really imbalanced, it seemed. Geralt, Jaskier, Yennefer, Ciri, Calanthe - excellent. Everyone else... meh.
Action - there were like two memorable fight scenes out of the entire season in my opinion, and the first was in the very first episode when he becomes the "Butcher of Blaviken". After that, the action dies off, and in a major way. I was pretty disappointed by this.
additional gripe: Jaskier was not present in the last episode, and thus we missed his beautiful songwriting and humorous witticisms. I believe the focus should be less on Yennefer/Ciri and more on Geralt/Jaskier. Maybe that's because I'm a cis-gender white male, and my bigotry is showing or... they were simply more fun/interesting.
So I hope in the next season we see a lot more of monster battling, and less of the Game-of-Throne'ish trying to pull off an elaborate storyline (because clearly that is not their strength).
Is it worth watching? Absolutely, I would give it a 7/10 if I could, but the weaknesses were just too strong here, in my opinion. Felt like the creators busted their nut in the first episode, and then after that were just cleaning up the cum.
I prefer action to (half-assed) storyline, so your reaction might be different.

Glad you had a chance to watch it! I agree for the most part, but I'm a little more forgiving. I liked the storyline because I was invested in the characters, just not all the back and forth. The lack of action was disappointing because the show promised "fight scenes that put GoT to shame," and didn't deliver. Geralt and Jaskier were perfect though, they added a much needed comedic element!

Well, the potential for epic fight scenes were there - very first episode great example. If they had simply followed that formula for each subsequent episode, it would have been great.
let's hope they fix some of these weaknesses in the next seasons!
