Deadpool 2 Hype!

 This Friday, the best movie of May(we all know it won't be Solo) is finally coming to a theater near you. Starring Ryan Reynolds in the role he was born to play along with Josh Brolin( Yes Thanos) as Cable. Ironically Deadpool is one of Fox's biggest hits in recent memory and they didn't even want to make the movie to begin with. The only reason the original was even made was because of a leak of the test footage featuring Reynolds performance. I think even after they green-lit the original they were still very conservative in investing in an R-rated superhero movie. All of that appears to have gone out of the window with Deadpool 2.

  This movie is shaping up to be an R-rated Avengers equivalent if the trailers are any guide. Deadpool 2 seems to revolve around the efforts of Deadpool and his X-force to protect a powerful mutant child from being killed by Cable. If Deadpool 2 can strike the same balance of humor and action that the first did it will probably be remembered as a sequel on par with The Empire Strikes Back. I really hope it will be good because I don't know if I can take two heartbreaks in one month. I also really hope when this movie is a huge hit we will get more movies like Logan, where we get a grown up engaging story along with our superhero action.

 I'm not really worried about this movie being bad because I'm pretty sure Fox let the Deadpool team do pretty much whatever they wanted with this movie after the success of the original. What I'm really worried about is the fact that Disney now owns Fox as well. I hope that Disney just let's Fox keep running and use them to release movies like Deadpool and Logan and just take their piece of the profits. Obviously the worst case scenario would be Disney putting another Kathleen Kennedy in charge of Fox and killing Deadpool for good. I don't think that will happen but I'm wary of it regardless.

 So I say enjoy Deadpool 2 while you can, it might be the last good Deadpool movie( unless something goes horribly wrong and the trailers are not representative of the movie at all, which has happened before). Thanks for reading, Is It Worth It? for Deadpool 2 will be out this weekend.
