They say the first thing about getting help is realizing that you have a problem. I don't know if I really want help with this, but I have a popcorn addiction. Outside the movie theater, I don't have a problem. However, once I enter the doors of a movie theater, my craving reaches its climax. The smell of the popcorn and the butter makes me head right for the concessions.
If I ever reach the concessions and they told me that there was no popcorn, I would probably head right for the box office and ask for a refund. Lately, it has been just the popcorn and soda combo that I request. However, when I was younger, my salty treat had to be accompanied by Junior Mints. After experiencing some very melted Junior Mints, I ended up substituting Snow Caps. Nothing is worse than reaching for your chocolate candy and finding out the pieces are stuck together and very soft.
I have accompanied friends and family to see a movie that didn't interest me just to enjoy the popcorn. The application of the butter is just as important. Some theaters don't give you the luxury of buttering your own popcorn, so then I have to request that they layer the process. I have personally used the straw technique, so that the butter can reach the bottom of the bucket. Alright, so maybe I am a little crazy when it comes to the need for popcorn. It could be so much worse!
