In Tinseltown's endless pursuit of gold,
A sequel's born, though story's grown old.
Crank's demise, a fiery, fatal fall,
Yet, three years on, Chev Chelios stands tall.
A miracle of survival, or so it would seem,
He's saved by doctors with sinister scheme.
A heart transplant, an artificial beat,
A temporary reprieve, a frantic repeat.
With AbioCor's pulse, his quest begins anew,
For Johnny Vang, and his stolen heart, anew.
Through strip clubs, and ganglands, he'll roam,
With Eve, his love, and chaos as his home.
Neveldine and Taylor, no wheel to reinvent,
Refine their formula, with outrage to invent.
Boundary-pushing, ultra-violent, and dark,
A homage to grindhouse, with exploitation's mark.
Surreal scenes unfold, like a twisted dream,
A Godzilla showdown, and Ginger Spice's scheme.
Explicit content, nudity, and sex on display,
A polarising mix, that's sure to sway.
Audiences divided, like critics, in dismay,
Some relish the darkness, others turn away.
Sexism, homophobia, and stereotypes abound,
A politically incorrect landscape, that's hard to be found.
Jason Statham, with energy, embodies Chev,
A genuine enjoyment, that his role does leave.
The cast reprising, with familiarity's charm,
A sense of continuity, amidst the chaotic alarm.
Despite the negativity, and modest box office gain,
Crank: High Voltage remains, a cult classic, in vain.
A testament to excess, and a refusal to conform,
A sequel that defies, the norms, and takes its form.
