In a world of dust and flame,
Where chaos reigns, and hope's but a name,
A hero rises, worn and gray,
Max Rockatansky, in a world gone astray.

With skills of combat, and a heart of stone,
He navigates the wasteland, alone,
Until he's captured, by War Boys' might,
And brought to Citadel, where power takes flight.

Imperator Furiosa, a warrior true,
With one arm strong, and a spirit anew,
Leads the escape, with Joe's wives in tow,
From a tyrant's grasp, to a freedom to know.

The critics praise, with a unanimous voice,
Fury Road's success, a rare, sweet choice,
A film that's captured, both art and mainstream's heart,
A feat achieved, by a creator's skillful art.

But amidst the praise, a question's raised,
Why compare it not, to The Road Warrior's blaze?
Is it a reboot, or a sequel true?
Or is it a attempt, to make the past anew?

The answer lies, in the changing times,
The world, the audiences, the filmmaker's rhymes,
George Miller's changed, his vision now clear,
A focus on feminism, and a message to bring near.

Eve Ensler's influence, a radical feminist's might,
Shines through the screenplay, a beacon in the night,
A matriarchal commune, a hope for the land,
A female hero, who takes the lead, and makes her stand.

Max, the titular hero, now a secondary part,
A downgrade, some might say, a change of heart,
The events driven, by Furiosa's will,
A woman, who defies, the patriarchy's chill.

The Road Warrior's memory, a past some would forget,
A film that's iconic, but now in a regret,
Mel Gibson's legacy, a tarnished name,
A reminder of a time, that's no longer the same.

Fury Road's success, though great, may not endure,
Like The Road Warrior, a classic, that will forever ensure,
A place in the annals, of cinematic history,
A film that's timeless, and will forever be a mystery.

The camp and the cool, the guitar flamethrower's might,
May distract from the message, and the film's true light,
But still, it stands, as a testament to Miller's skill,
A filmmaker, who's changed, but still, his vision fulfills.
