In city streets, where dreams are made,
A young cowboy wandered, lost, astray,
Joe Buck, with heart full of desire,
Sought fortune, love, and a burning fire.

With cowboy hat and boots so fine,
He left Texas, for New York's shrine,
A gigolo's life, he hoped to claim,
But city lights, and women's games,

Left him bewildered, lost, and cold,
His money gone, his heart grown old,
He met Rico Rizzo, a con artist true,
Together they formed a bond anew.

Their friendship grew, in spite of strife,
Through petty thefts, and a desperate life,
Joe's attempts to earn a living wage,
Were met with failure, and a turning page,

Rico's illness struck, and Joe did stray,
To find a way to save his friend's last day,
Their story woven, like a tapestry so fine,
A testament to human hearts that entwine.

The film that told their tale so bold,
Midnight Cowboy, with its X-rating to hold,
A symbol of the times, of change and strife,
A cultural shift that cut like a knife,

Through Hollywood's doors it made its way.
And won the Oscar for Best Picture of the day.
Its themes of love friendship all did shine
a light on those who live on society decline

The performances by Voight Hoffman too
elevated the film with acting anew.

Seems like an interesting. Movie thanks for sharing.

@drax is the one for the movie advice...I believe he watched and reviewed so many movies that it is hard to count. Could work as a full time movie critic:)
