In Hollywood's halls of fame and shame,
A franchise lies, with glory lost in flames,
The Terminator, once a iconic name,
Now symbolizes failure, and a lingering shame.

James Cameron's vision, a groundbreaking feat,
Set the bar high, a standard to beat,
But sequels and reboots, a disappointing spree,
Failed to revive, the franchise's legacy.

Terminator Salvation, a attempt to renew,
A post-apocalyptic world, with action anew,
But flaws and missteps, a narrative unspun,
Left fans frustrated, and the franchise undone.

Marcus Wright, a character, with potential untold,
Redundant and wasted, a plot twist, grown old,
Sam Worthington's performance, lacking in depth,
Christian Bale's intensity, a stark contrast to breath.

The climax, a twist, implausible and weak,
Lazy writing, a criticism, that fans would speak,
The cinematography, desaturated and grey,
A monotony, that drove the film astray.

The Halcyon Company, bankrupt and undone,
The trilogy, abandoned, a plan, that was never won,
The franchise, continued, with reboots, anew,
But fans, increasingly frustrated, their hearts, no longer true.

The Terminator, a saga, of rise and fall,
A cautionary tale, of how greatness, can lose its all,
A reminder, that even, the most iconic names,
Can falter, and fail, in the ever-changing games.
