In far-off lands, where war did rage,
A network rose, to claim its stage,
CNN's rise, from obscurity's shade,
To global fame, in a single raid.
The Gulf War's start, a pivotal date,
Saw Wiener sent, to Baghdad's gate,
To cover the crisis, the hostage plight,
And secure an interview with Saddam's light.
Joined by three, seasoned journalists true,
They brought the war, to living view,
Bernard, John, and Peter, names we'd know,
Their reports from war, the world did sow.
Live from Baghdad, a film that shone,
With Keaton's Michael, a performance known,
The cast and crew, in skilled array,
Brought life to screens, in a tale to stay.
A story of war, of politics and might,
Of friendship forged, in the heat of the fight,
A tale of truth, in a world of spin,
A chronicle of history, forever to win.
Yet, the script's embellishments, a flaw,
A dated look, that time could not maul,
The film, a relic, of a bygone age,
Its message lost, in a world that's changed.
