This is the original film. Like a lot of foreign cinema - It was westernized and a revamped back at the beginning of the remake-apocalypse in 2013. Don't watch the Spike Lee /Josh Brolin one - it's really not worth your time. If you can't be bothered with subtitles - This probably isn't a film for you. I guess you could find a dubbed version but it's really not the same.

After being kidnapped and imprisoned for fifteen years, Oh Dae-Su is released, only to find that he must find his captor in five days.

That might be one of the worst / best loglines ever written. I don't want to say too much about this movie because I don't want to give anything away.

Let me know what you thought about the movie.
Hope you're Well
All the best

amazing film. Korean cinema is odd, because there's so much talent and vision alongside garbage like KPOP.

Of the vengeance trilogy, I think sympathy for mr. vengeance might be my favorite. but all three are amazing.

See The Host? It's a great monster flick. Memories of Murder is great, too

Totally agree @dirge - Mr.Vengeance was really good. I've started the Host - have not made it all the way through. I'll give it another go. Hope you're well. E.

This is an excellent movie. I found it a little disturbing (It's not to watch it twice LOL) but is really good.
