I wish more people appreciate the movies of the 70s.

I kind of love American movies of the 70s. They weren’t that good, and that’s a kind of a virtue that is hard to find today.

I’m not saying movies today are so great… but they LOOK great… because they have all that CGI and there’s so many templates and formulas and tricks.

I mean the cops in this movie, Soylent Green, set in 2022, wear football helmets of the 70’s with regular FACE-BARS!

Of course, there were some great movies made back then… but movies like this one were kind of the norm for a society that had so much else going on besides entertainment.

I mean movies were a once a week thing if that, and the crap they had on TV was like abominable… cause TV was abominable... I certainly can’t imagine much from back then passing MK-Ultra mind-control standards; they were just too haphazard and dumb.

But that’s my point. The human race was better off with abominable TV and crappy movies than it is with “A Queen’s Gambit” and 24/7 access to a supply of addictive and lacy organ-calcifying distractions.
