Hey movie marauders! Zootopia came out in 2016 and was an amazing animated film. It had amazing themes and a very good story(it is one of my favorite films). It made $1 billion at the box office and is the 5th highest grossing animated film of all time. Let's dive right in and take a look at some fun facts about Zootopia!

1. Nick Wilde's middle name is Tiberius (named after James Tiberius Kirk-Captain of the Enterprise in Star Trek).

2. There are 64 different species in Zootopia.

3. Originally, Nick was the protagonist of the movie instead of Judy.

4. The crew went to Africa to study and research animals.

5. Zootopia is the 2nd longest Disney animated film at 108 minutes (Fantasia is longer at 126 minutes).

6. The Lion King's Mufasa inspired Mayor Lionheart in Zootopia.

7. A giraffe in the movie has 9 million hairs! (If you saw my article about Frozen https://steemit.com/movies/@moviemarauder/10-surprising-facts-about-disney-s-frozen, you know that Rapunzel had 27,000 and Elsa had 420,000).

8. Shakira asked for her character, Gazelle, to have bigger hips.

9. The newscasters in Zootopia change depending on which country you are in (Brazil-Jaguar, UK-Corgi, Japan-Tanuki, US-Moose, Australia-Koala, China-Panda).

10. Kristen Bell plays a sloth at the DMV because in an interview with Ellen she talked about how her husband got a sloth to visit her (sloths are her favorite animal).
