Big Lesson From The Movie "Smokey & The Bandit"

I enjoy watching the movie, "Smokey and the Bandit". Certain parts of the movie make me laugh every single time, especially the portions with the bumbling antics of Sherriff Buford T. Justice.

Not to spoil the movie for you, but the movie follows the plot of a high speed chase between two guys, a girl, and the sherriff of Texarkana with his absent minded son. The chase goes from Texarkana, Texas all the way through Atlanta, Georgia, and they have some really crazy adventures along the way.

So what is the BIG lesson that I gained by watching this movie?

It is this...

** Don't stop going for your goal, no matter who is chasing you. **

The sherriff and his son kept on coming.
Relentlessly.
Even outside their jurisdiction.

But did "The Bandit" and Cletis give up because someone was after them?

Absolutely not!

They had a goal to reach, and they found ways to hide in plain sight in order to make the goal reality.

This lesson is powerful, because we all have obstacles and negative things that follow us to bring us down and take us away from our forward progress. Sometimes they seem like they're going to overrun us. BUT the good thing is we don't have to take it. We can reach out beyond our current situation (where we are), and totally focus on what we want.

Then put our feet in that gas tank, and drive like Bandit!
