Review: Extinction (A Netflix Exclusive)

in movies •  6 years ago

Last night, my husband and I watched the movie “Extinction” on Netflix.

I thought that the movie was pretty interesting, and it had a good plot twist toward the end. The basic premise of the story is about this guy who has nightmares about the world being taken over. The nightmares are affecting him so much that he is straining his relationship with his family and affecting his work performance. He goes to a sleep center for help, but walks away after talking to another patient having the same type of nightmares.

Then...the nightmares become reality, and he has to fight for himself and his family’s survival.

If you are a fan of action movies, then this one is the one for you. It keeps moving constantly and there is a lot going on, even before we get to the plot twist. The movie is not just action throughout; it makes you think about how you would handle the situation this guy is in.

Normally, if it is late, we don’t make it through the whole movie before one of us (or both of us) fall asleep. But with this movie, we watched it until the end. It was just that good.

If you have the opportunity, I recommend that you watch “Extinction”.

Thanks @toptensteemit - hope you enjoy it too! 😊

Just saw it last nite. Extinction is totally out of the Sci-Fi Box...Definitely did not see the plot coming. Great share...

That looks like the sort of film I'd like to watch @mrscwin. Thank you for sharing your impressions of it...
When I read the bit about the sleep centre I chuckled... I bet that got you a bit worried :D

Cool - hope you enjoy it @cryptocariad!
I sure did get nervous...are they trying to wipe my memories while I’m hooked up and asleep?!?!? 🤣

I'm totally 'out of this world' when asleep @mrscwin : I get up too early around 5:30 everyday so I'm always ready to sleep around 10pm !
