I've written some time about how internet buzz for Black Panther is alarmingly low. But, this movie doesn't need fan love online, because something better, real excitement. Tickets went online after a trailer was aired without any special announcement. And ticket sales are on fire. There are no official numbers, but Fandango announced that Black Panther sold more movie tickets in the first 24 hours after going on sale than Captain America: Civil War. That is huge. And a great headline for the movie. It is also Fandango 's second-most anticipated movie of the year, Avengers: Infinity War is still more anticipated. The buzz online which was pretty low, is now saying: get your tickets now, because they are running out fast. Lupita Nyong'o uploaded a cute video on Twitter saying that even she couldn't get tickets for the first showing. Now the movie is officially on fire.
The movie comes out on 16 February, 2018.
