EW Gives Us Our First Look Into X-Men Dark Phoenix

X-Men: Apocalypse gave us our first glimpse into Sophie Turner's Dark Phoenix. Now with a movie that will focus only on the X-Men iconic story-line, we get our first real look of Dark Phoenix and the other characters.

Minor Spoilers for the future movie plot

Sophie Turner looks stunning as Dark Phoenix. The hair on fire is perfect. I just don't understand why she needs to be naked, or why is her skin cracking. Also the statement of "outer space and inner demons" on the cover is a perfect way to define the Dark Phoenix. Also, it might mean that they will stay true to the iconic story. Unlike Last Stand .

Because if you want to be emotionally torn - you better do it in the rain. Typical Hollywood trope.

Yes! The X-Men are finally going into space. Also a crucial moment in the Dark Phoenix story-line.

Jessica Chastain who looks terrible here, will be an a shape-shifting mysterious villain.

Jennifer Lawrence's Mystique looks more horrible than ever in my opinion. I just wish she weren't in this movie at all. But, she is still one of the good guys and the X-Men in this one.

Even though most of these images look great, the movie can still be terrible. Famke Janssen was great as Jean Grey, and she looked great in the part, but Last Stand destroyed the Dark Phoenix story-line. What it created instead was just bad. From these photos it looks like the movie might try to be more loyal to the original story, but who knows. This movie is Simon Kinberg directorial debut, we don't know how a movie under his hand will look like.

All I want is just a good movie, not necessarily faithful to the original material. I hope it will deliver.
