Exactly one year before its release Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2 get a new name – Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Now that's a movie I'm excited to see. Sure, I loved the first movie, I can’t get enough of J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World, but this has me excited in a different way. The previous movie felt complete, like the story didn’t need a sequel and didn’t leave room for one. Now I am definitely looking forward to this movie and its sequels do answer questions that hardcore Harry Potter fans want answers to. We will finally find out the truth about Dumbledore and Grindelwald. The Harry Potter books only scratched the surface on that relationship. Once upon a time J. K. Rowling announced that Dumbledore was a gay character which did not show at all in the Harry Potter books, it seemed like an afterthought. But now that it looks like we spend 4 movies with him, will we get to see that aspect of his character? And how will mainstream audiences respond if we will? Let’s face it the moment you bring Dumbledore into the picture, he is automatically the center of attention. However, as this picture shows, we will also see the return of the full cast of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will return with some additions.

We also got an amazing cast picture. Johnny Depp will return to his role as Gellert Grindelwald, perhaps for once he can act not ridicules under crazy hair and makeup.
Jude Law has been cast as a younger Albus Dumbledore, an excellent and interesting casting choice. I have no doubt that he can command just as much as screen attention as Johnny Depp.
Tina Goldstein (played by Katherine Waterston) and Jacob Kowalski (played by Dan Fogler) will return as everyone’s most favorite and unlikely couple.
Eddie Redmayne will reprise the role of Newt Scamander.
Alison Sudol will also return to her role Queenie Goldstein, and perhaps she will finally hookup with Newt.
Ezra Miller will also return as Credence Barebone, a very powerful obscurus.
Claudia Kim will play Maledictus, a new mystery character, but as the location in her picture suggests, a mystery closer to that of Credence.
Zoë Kravitz will play Leta Lestrange will play Leta Lestrange. The Lestrange name obviously has some evil connotations because of Bellatrix Lestrange, but don’t forget that Sirius Black was her cousin, so it can go either way.
Callum Turner will play Theseus Scamander, Newt Scamander’s brother who is considered a hero.
The picture looks amazing and do note that Grindelwald and Dumbledore are standing as far away from each other as the picture allows it, and everyone else are paired off basically.

What do you think? Are you excited about this movie?

I am very excited for this movie. I loved the first one in this series. Such a different feel than the Harry Potter movies, unique and entertaining. Eddie Redmayne is so expressive and killed it! Thanks for this post.

Thank you for your great comment. Yeah the adult feel of Fantastic Beasts was great, no more learning, just adults experienced wizards, it was great. And such amazing characters.

Awesome!!!
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan and absolutely loved the first movie. With J.K directly involved, I can't see how this installment can go wrong.
The casting is great. Didn't know about the gay-Dumbledore angle (It is kinda weird Rita Skeeter didn't find that out), but let's see how it plays out

I think it was made because of all the criticism about how conservative the Harry Potter books are. I think she tweeted it out, but nothing was ever made of it, he was clearly single almost or all of his life, so we will see what happens now when she is writing the script and his younger self is on screen.

I liked the first. I think this will be well done.
