Kitty Pryde Solo Movie in Development

There is a rumor going around Hollywood that Tim Miller is developing a Kitty Pryde. Everyone are very excited about the movie. Kitty Pryde should get some justice after her role in Days of Future Past was handed over to Wolverine. But I don't think the movie will ever see the light of day. The first reason is the Disney and Fox acquisition that leaves the future of all X-Men movies in the dark.

The second reason is development hell. Not all solo X-Men men movies have a smooth ride. For example,
Gambit is stuck in development hell for years: a few directors changed, the screenplay has been re-written endless times and the beginning of filming keeps getting pushed back. Tim Miller is currently working on Terminator which he will also direct. Terminator is set to come out on 26 July, 2019, leaving Tim Miller with very little spare time to work on a Kitty Pryde movie.

The third reason is ethnicity/religion. A big part, or at least a some part of Kitty Pryde's, or by her full name Katherine Prydeman, character is that she of Jewish descent. This will be tricky to portray. Play it down and people will be angry, play it up and expect a boycott or a cold shoulder at least on the scale of Wonder Woman (the movie did not do so well overseas and was boycotted in several counties).

Also, if Ellen Page will resume her role expect some members of the LGBT community to have a problem with the character being portrayed as straight. If it won't be, then everyone else will have a problem.

All these reasons will just give Fox one giant headache, which leads me to believe that the movie will never go into production. I'm afraid that there will be no justice for Kitty Pryde on the big screen outside on an ensemble movie. What do you think?

Wow. Sounds like a lot of drama. And none of it related to the actual story.

Yeah... most movies have a lot of drama behind the scenes, but I think this is too much.
