Terminator 6 – What We Know So Far

It’s official we are getting a Terminator 6 movie. Well, actually, it’s a a Terminator 3 movie. Yes, this movie is a direct sequel to the brilliant Terminator 2 and will treat all other Terminator movies as if they are in a different timeline. Ouch. According to movieweb James Cameron stated that “This is a continuation of the story from Terminator 1 and Terminator 2. And we're pretending the other films were a bad dream. Or an alternate timeline.” Terminator 6 will take place in 21th century, meaning it will be dealing with modern A.I. concerns.

Also James Cameron won’t be directing the movie, just producing. Tim Miller will direct the movie. Tim Miller has already proven that he can direct excellent action movies with Deadpool.

This movie being a direct sequel to Terminator 2 explains why Sarah Connor is still alive, as we found that Linda Hamilton was cast in the movie. Also, James Cameron needs to stop bashing Wonder Woman if he doesn’t want women audiences giving his movie the stink eye before it even comes out. Also. no word on a John Connor yet.

Of course Arnold Schwarzenegger is back. This is movie seems to play straight into the heavy 80s nostalgia going on in Hollywood right now.

Moreover, in my opinion, all the robot villains failed to be as scary as the T-1000 in Terminator 2. That one gave me nightmares, even though I did watch it when I was really young. This also makes me wonder about the rating of the movie. Terminator and a Terminator 2 were both R-Rated, will a Terminator 6 also be R-Rated when the rest of the franchise has become a PG-13 franchise?

Can James Cameron return Terminator to its days to glory?

The movie is set to come out in 2019.

i loved Genisys too bad critics complained about it.

Yeah It was hated more than it deserved, but it wasn't really good in my opinion, just ok.

oh i see. but i really loved it. it was obviously better than salvation and waaaay better than 3. i really hoped that they build a sequel to it and i liked so many ideas of that movie. they were also going to do a tv show but cancelled it cause it didn't do that good.

It really did have great ideas, but it didn't explore those ideas in my opinion. Also I liked salvation. at least we can agree that we both don't like the 3rd one.

Terminator 2. It was one of my favorite movies during adolescence. What a good soundtrack. After that all the others have been pretty bad. In my opinion.
Thank you for reminding me of such a mythical title.

Your welcome. It was an epic movie and one of my favorites! But I was too young to see it, like 8-10, I shouldn't have watched probably, it really scared me. The rest were terrible. Although the 4th one was a decant movie if you ignore everything else. Maybe this movie will revive the epicness of the second movie.

Wow. Interesting that it's a 3. I'll have to watch anyway. Awesome franchise

It has an awesome beginning but man was that last movie disappointing. They touched on so many good ideas and did nothing with them.
