Yes, Wonder Woman already had a release date, December 13, 2019. But, then Star Wars: Episode IX moved its release back to coveted December – to December 20, 2019. Wonder Woman 2 can survive competing with Frozen 2, but not Star Wars. Wonder Woman 2 will suffer greatly under the shadow of Star Wars as Disney booked the best and biggest screens for 4 weeks in advance, something that can hurt the viewing experience for Wonder Woman 2.

Like many time before, WB and DC did the smart move by simply moving the movie’s release date. Which is better for us, because we are getting Wonder Woman 2 earlier. But only slightly. Wonder Woman 2 will be released on November 1, 2019. I still think that of Wonder Woman 2 should be a summer movie like the first one, but November has been kind to superhero movies. Look at this November where Thor: Ragnarok made $739,202,019 (as of November 19) even left some room for Justice League to make $278,842,239 (as of November 19). Dr. Strange also opened in November with an impressive total run of $677,718,395. We will see what kind of a movie Wonder Woman 2 will shape out to be. Perhaps it will give us some fall/winter vibes. Either way, it is good that it moved out of Star Wars: Episode IX way.

If it's as good as the first one, then it's worth the wait. At least in my opinion.

I'm with you. But a lot of the behind the scenes crew isn't coming back so I am a bit worried.

Looking forward to it. I hope they tighten up the sequel a bit.

Not sure if they will. I am not happy about their behind the scenes team.
