It's DC vs. Marvel I don't know which round. For the past week it has been rumored that a Captain Marvel featurette will be shown today CineEurope. Suddenly, today, all these amazing new news and images from the new Wonder Woman movie hit the internet. Coincidence? I think not. But, for now let's focus on Wonder Woman.

Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot have both officially revealed on Twitter the name of the sequel: Wonder Woman 1984. Yes, the year that the movie takes place in, is the name of the movie. Much better than Wonder Woman 2, which sounds uninspired and ‏Patty Jenkins is anything, but uninspired. She also does not care about the rest of the DCEU to which I am simply grateful. The reasons why I think she doesn't care about the rest of the DCEU are sopilery so you have been warned. Spoilers ahead for Justice League and Wonder Woman 1984.

Still here? Let's start with the official images that were released on Twitter today

Yes, the 80's references are a bit weak in the first image, but the Big Brother reference is not. Who is always watching? Big Brother watching Wonder Woman or vice versa? Also, that's not real 80's hair. It's enough to look at pictures of Gal Gadot from the 90's to know that she can have more 80's hair, but Wonder Woman is always glamorous and I think most fans love it.

Now as you can tell from the second image, Steve Trevor is back. Even though in Justice League we got a lot of sad Wonder Woman, we never got a mentioning of a resurrection. But, Patty Jenkins already claimed once that she changed Wonder Woman from BvS, because she simply wanted her to be a different sort of character. Looks like she will continue with this line of thought. I prefer it. I didn't like Wonder Woman in Justice League at all. Speaking of Justice League, Wonder Woman had the same outfit in that movie as did in her solo movie. Now it is rumored that she will have a new armor. Similar to that of the first movie, but full body armor, completely covering her up. Don't worry, she'll still look fabulous.

For now here are some very 80's paparazzi image from the set of Wonder Woman 1984. You can't get anymore 80's than a pouch, high belt and loss clothe. They didn't go all the way in the hair department, but look more 80's than most current depictions of 80's fashion.
