Some time ago Die Hard franchise star, Bruce Willis , had confirmed that the latest series until now still being developed. As if justifying Willis's statement, news from The Tracking Board indicates Fox is actively developing Die Hard 6 , as evidenced by the studio recruiting the duo of scriptwriters Chad Hayes and Carey Haye's . Later duo the author of The Conjuring will rewrite the script Die Hard 6 . Meanwhile, the director's bench is still occupied by Len Wiseman , who previously also gush the fourth series Live Free or Die Hard .

Instead of continuing the story of the previous film, Die Hard 6 will actually step back because the film focuses on highlighting the origin of John McClane police, a character played by Willis. Reportedly Die Hard 6 will tell the younger McClane as he served as New York police in 1970. Although Wiseman admits he will be looking for a new actor for the young McClane character, Wilis is said to still be performing with a significant role. For that, Die Hard 6 will likely have a storyline back and forth, with a setting between the 70s and the present.

Die Hard 6 itself will be Wiseman's latest work, after the last time he directed Remake Total Recall (2012). Though he has not filmed for a long time, Wiseman's schedule is still congested, considering he trusted Fox to direct pilot episodes for serials like Sleepy Hollow , Lucife r , APB and The Gifted . On the other hand, after writing two films The Conjuring , the next film written duo Hayes is The Turning horror genre, and ready for release 2019.

For now, Fox has not set the shooting schedule nor the release date of Die Hard 6 .
