Our main character is named Nicky, Who is a very simpleton living in a metro city , working as a torch shiner in the theaters. Just like all commoners he has big dreams, since he is much into movie he has desire /wishful thought of being a big movie star who has got undivided attention ,fame and money.
He actually leads a very quiet and simple life, and mostly satisfied with his simple job but there is one thing which frustrates him most is the sleepless nights. He is a big insomniac and this sleepless state leads him to two major events in his life. First one is meet up with a girl, who becomes his love interest and another one is the local drug dealers, who hands out him the lucia pills, for the experiment purpose, saying that it can cure his insomniac
The special quality of this pills, is the ability to have lucid dreams, the dreams where you which can be anything you desire and this gives him opportunity to get a sleep and dream of being a movie star as well.
The dream version is represented in the black and white version. Due to nicky's humble background leads to many disappointments in his life, even including his love life. So whenever shit happens he escapes into this own world of dreams. Where he gets everything he wished for
Which he becomes kind of addict and starts to dwell on to his dream world as real. On the other side, a group of police officers are trying hard to investigate a serious crime related to this pill. A point comes in a movie where all these 3 things merge. That's where movie becomes more twisted and interested.
Which makes the blur the line between reality and dreams and the movie ends satisfyingly with a simple yet profound message for to ponder.
This movie has the elements of thriller, mind blend and romance, if you're fan of any of this genre, then must watch it you wont be disappointed.
It's kannada regional movie but available with English subtitle, so it wont be a problem
This movie proved, if a chance is given to talented and interested person then it can do wonders.
Proud to have director such as pawan kumar and upendra in the kannad movie industry
