🎬Watching novelties: Mindhunter and Wisdom of the Crowd

Hello, everyone!

Today I have an interesting compilation: the real work of FBI to capture serial killers and compiling psychological portraits, and the combining artificial intelligence and wisdom of the crowd to find the killer of the innovator's daughter who is a god in the field of modern technology.

Mindhunter

Cast: Jonathan Groff, Holt McCallany, Hannah Gross, Anna Torv, Cotter Smith.
Available episodes: 10/10
Plot: Increasingly, terrible crimes are committed in The United States. One of the FBI agents is trying to understand what's in the head of serial killers. However, no one around understands the importance of behaviorism. Most of the characters of the series are based on real prototypes.
My opinion: I liked Mindhunter very very much, but I can't recommend it because there's only chatter in these series without any dynamic. And I think most of the people won't appreciate it. After a bit boring first episode, the second one turned out to be a real diamond. We meet the first serial killer - Ed Kemper.

It's not easy. Butchering people is hard work. Physically and mentally. I don't think people realize. You need to vent.

The dialogues with Ed Kemper are fantastic! I get goose bumps, on the one hand, it was disgusting, one the other - it was so attracted. You can watch the dialogue with real Ed Kemper and the episode moments:

The era of the 70's, serial killers, David Fincher in executive producers and most importantly, real stories. It seems like nothing happens, but almost every moment is scary. For connoisseurs, Mindhunter is a godsend.

Wisdom of the Crowd

Cast: Jeremy Piven, Richard T. Jones, Blake Lee, Natalia Tena, Monica Potter, Jake Matthews.

Available episodes: 4/?

Plot: Jeffrey Tanner's daughter was killed. He creates Sophe - a system that processes a huge amount of information and unites people so that with the help of collective intelligence, Jeffrey Tanner could investigate this crime and find the murderer who killed his daughter.

My opinion: A quite good show with a Hollywood touch. As always, there are stereotyped characters: A detective who does not get along with computers and technology and his phrases about this misunderstanding should be ridiculous. The suffering father, I could not feel his suffering. And a super hacker who breaks everything around with the power of thought.

A bit like a book/movie "The Circle" (2017). I was so surprised that the Americans are all so observant! As soon as the photo of the suspect comes to them, they immediately find him in the crowd and are going to lynch... Just at this moment, I remember our city internet-groups, where relatives spread photos of the missing children / old people, etc., and so, no one usually saw anyone. The Americans, without fear, pursue the suspects and almost arrest them. The consciousness of the society is amazing, although perhaps the consciousness is based only on a huge reward, which Tanner promised for the capture of the murderer.

In addition to investigating the death of his daughter, in each episode, something happens and only Sophe is able to help. Sometimes what is happening looks implausible and gives the impression that San Francisco police department detectives are morons and they generally do not have any tools for people searching and obtain information. But in general, the episodes are very dynamic, there is an outburst of emotions, although I do not worry about anyone and do not worry. I think this is the type of show where everybody is beautiful and it always ends well. Good always triumphs over evil, all criminals sit behind bars and the flag flies proudly over happy Americans.

I heard Mindhunter is hard to watch not because some people might find it boring, but find it too disturbing. The side by side just gives you the creeps.

I've watched only 2 episodes and I feel It's just blowing my mind.

wow. Now that is something special.

Mindhunter is based on the book by John E. Douglas, real-life FBI profiler, who, among other things, served as inspiration for protagonists of The Silence of the Lambs (and was one of the techincal consultants during the production).

Was looking for someone who loves watching tv series, ran a search and happened to come across your account. Nice to see you here:)
