Good morning dear community.
I hope you having a great day.
I'd like to share with you some information about a movie I watched recently on Netflix. This time I wanted to see more action and even when I found this one in the horror category, it was what I was looking for.
THE PURGE: Anarchy
- Genre: Action - Horror - Thriller * Date of release: 2014 * Written and directed by James de Monaco.
It is one of The Purge's sequel, released in 2013. The central plot is based on a dystopia of reality in which citizens are allowed to commit any criminal act without legal repercussions within 12 hours. Thanks to this new law, they have managed to successfully reduce crime rates. Of course, one condition applies.
Absolute immunity for government entities
It is strictly forbidden and punished to commit any criminal act against any government entity (institutions and/or persons).
Many things could be discussed about this film, however, it is not the intention of this post. If you don't like to see horror or violence in a movie, avoid it.
In my particular case, I don't like horror movies but I do like to watch action and dystopian movies like this one, Divergent, or The Hunger Games, and every time I do I can't help but wonder...
How real can become or is this "surreal" film?
Thanks for reading, let me know if you have watched it.
Best regards.
