I've actually had a soft spot for Scotland since Highlander. Always wanted a castle in Scotland, like Sean Connery. Meanwhile he lives in Barbados, whether this has anything to do with the weather?
Anyway, Braveheart definitely picked me up in full back then. I saw the epic of freedom with Mel Gibson even more than Dracula, probably 20 times, and was able to recite it even better.

Ich hatte eigentlich schon seit Highlander ein Faible für Schottland.
Wollte immer, wie Sean Connery, ein Schloß in Schottland haben.
Mittlerweile lebt er ja auf Barbados, ob das was mit dem Wetter zu tun
hat?Egal, Braveheart hat mich damals auf jeden Fall voll abgeholt. Ich habe das Freiheitsepos mit Mel Gibson dann noch öfter als Dracula gesehen, bestimmt 20 mal, und konnte ihn noch besser rezitieren.

"I'm your uncle, Argyle," his uncle's great, my favorite quote from him: "Before you learn how to use this, learn how to use this first"! And I don't have to look it up now, just the spelling of Argyle's name. I could watch it again sometime.
Besides the game Final Fantasy 7, this movie also made me cry. But the end is also too sad. I have to say that the movie wouldn't be so good without this ending, the ending makes it complete after all. It is also, of course, due to the historical model, which was otherwise not always taken into account so carefully.
The film won 5 Oscars and is on the list of "films you should have seen before life is over".
That was it with this challenge. Two challenges at once are a bit much, now I'm definitely going on a challenge vacation. Nevertheless, it was a lot of fun to get to grips with one's own film history. I hope that I could give one or the other a small suggestion for the next film evening.

Lieblingszitat von ihm: "Bevor du lernst, wie man das gebraucht, lerne
erst, wie man das gebraucht!" Und die musst ich jetzt nicht
nachschlagen, nur die Schreibweise von Argyles Namen. Ich könnte den
auch mal wieder schauen.Neben dem Spiel Final Fantasy 7 hat es dieser Film damals ebenfalls
geschafft, mich zum Weinen zu bringen. Das Ende ist aber auch zu
traurig. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass der Film ohne diese Ende nicht so
gut wäre, das Ende macht ihn dann doch komplett. Außerdem ist es
natürlich der historischen Vorlage geschuldet, die ansonsten nicht
immer so genau berücksichtigt wurde. Der Film gewann damals 5 Oscars
und ist u.a. in der Liste "der Filme, die sie gesehen haben sollten,
bevor das Leben vorbei ist".Das war es nun auch mit dieser Challenge. Zwei Challenges auf einmal
sind schon etwas viel, jetzt mach ich auf jeden Fall erstmal
Challengeurlaub. Es hat trotzdem viel Spaß gemacht, sich mit der
eigenen Filmhistorie auseinander zusetzten. Ich hoffe, dass ich dem
ein oder anderen eine kleine Anregung für den nächsten Filmabend geben
konnte.
