Settling down

Now that I have fully settled into my university accommodation and started my course I can say that it has been an experience so far. Living with people I hardly knew at the end of September and being really close with them now, with an exception, is a great thing to go through. You have no idea what these people are like, if your personalities will clash or what their living style is like. You worrying about having to clean up after everyone and being the 'parent' of the flat because of the type of person you are. After the last 2 and a half weeks we have bonded together like a little family, that relationship between all of you is so close that nothing will break it. You never really have any full on arguments because everyone in the flat respects others opinions and what they are doing, unless they feel the need to be rude then they don't really care and will do whatever they want.
The 3 of us will have flat nights in and we will cook a meal together and sit down to watch TV together, I think this is such a good way to be able to get to know who you are going to be living with for the next year. Being ill for over 2 weeks goes to show that they really do care about and will help you out when needed, one of my flat mates was taking care of me and it felt reassuring to know that they won't leave you to get on with everything by yourself. Being in student accommodation on campus was definitely the best decision I made, it has been an experience and a half so far and I'm sure there's many more stories to come.
