Mozilla Firefox Tries Closing More Privacy Holes With New Network Tech

in mozilla •  7 years ago

Mozilla Firefox as part of its measures, has started a project called Firefox Nightly, which is a test research of Mozilla's browser, with an addition of a technology called DNS in place of HTTPS.

DNS is the acronym for Domain Name System which is used to find the numeric addresses that are needed to communicate with computers across the network.

It is all part of Mozilla's efforts to keep DNS providers from abusing it via the wrongful collection and sharing of browsing history.

It comes with a combination called DoH which prevents middlemen from discovering the kind of internet services a person is trying to access and tampering with the results of the search.

This combination of DoH would really help seal many holes.

The issue of people visiting a website only to be trailed about by unending ads or being followed about by annoying and often malicious ads from one site to the other will be reduced to a minimal level.

Mozilla is taking preventive measures towards improving the privacy in Firefox and protecting the data of its users, which is good if you ask me.

Mozilla was my first browser but now I am using Chrome. What about you?

Good post.

Good post.

Great that is every company is now trying hard on that thing

Great news for Mozilla doing this. I can't wait for the release date. Yes, I've always been a Firefox user. I do have Chromium, Brave, Tor, and Opera installed, but I always fall back on my trusty friend Firefox.
