All right, folks, I know I may come off as Anti-Bankotsu, but that is because he serves his purpose well as one of Inuyasha's most formidable allies ever, given his prodigious strength and just how well both he and Inuyasha match each other in age and in prowess. Nevertheless, Bankotsu has done several atrocities to both humans and yokai for the sake of becoming a more formidable fighter and assembling a hoard of mercenaries to support him in his bloody and greedy cause.
In short, Bankotsu is a character I enjoy hating but also wanted to see him become an anti-heroic ally to Inuyasha because his charm, his charisma, and his gentlemanly ruthlessness do make him stand out in all the right places, despite what horrid atrocities he has committed mostly involving taking away lives with the aid of his halberd Banryuu. This also did not help that he was so consumed with power to the point where he was too stubborn to listen to Inuyasha to discard the Banryuu, as it has been corrupting and consuming him from the inside.
I stated before that if Bankotsu had let go of his obsession of wanting to become stronger, he would have realized that he can use his strength to aid Inuyasha and his so-called friends in defeating Naraku. Moreover, if he were to have ended up as a part of the Inu-Gang, he would have had the gumption to speak up on Inuyasha's behalf against Miroku, Sango, Kagome, and Shippou for not understanding Inuyasha's whole ordeal with Kikyou and the betrayal went through. Unfortunately, that did not happen, as Bankotsu ended up dying first through Inuyasha's Backlash Wave and Naraku taking the other Shikon Jewel shards from Bankotsu, in spite of the former trying to save him.
Step forward Mrs. Wicket who will be able to literally knock some sense into Bankotsu to make sure that he does not end up obsessed with power. Sure, Bankotsu is just as capable of hand-to-hand combat as any professional fighter, but Mrs. Wicket has the instinct and the brute force to take him down once and for all.
Bankotsu's hooks, uppercuts, and jabs are certainly no match for Mrs. Wicket's sheer willpower and overall strength for someone who is so much older than him. Her punches to his gut, cheeks, eyes, and every part of his body are enough to fully incapacitate him for good, thus leaving him limp and lifeless.
Looks like Mrs. Wicket did an excellent job in teaching Bankotsu not to be too consumed or too corrupted by power and made sure that he let go of his greed in order for him not to return to his old ways ever again. Either that or he is already in the afterlife.
I hope you all enjoyed Mrs. Wicket's pummeling of a mercenary who was far too stubborn to listen to any form of reason or logic.
Take care, stay safe, and do not ever get on Mrs. Wicket's bad side or else you will be brutally beaten-up just like Bankotsu.
