Morning can be challenging with MS and any chronic or auto-immune disease. IF you were able to sleep or not, just being in the bed or any position for a long period of time makes the body sore and you literally have to get the 'kinks' out before starting your day. If you take medication for pain then this is one of the times of day you need it just to get in the shower and to get going.
Sleeping can be difficult for a number of reasons. I am trying to stay off as much meds as possible as BigPharma has no one's interest in mind, but their own, and the FDA is in their pocket big time. (We'll get into that another time). OTC Melatonin can help with sleep as can other natural choices. Sleepy Time Tea, a nice warm (not hot for MS'ers) bath perhaps some lavender oil and a massage if you are lucky enough to have someone willing to do so. It's hard for me to turn my mind off at night so choose your thoughts wisely. Thinking about the up coming election, GMO's and pretty much everything going on in the US right now is not conducivet to sleeping.
