How the desire to do good comes to fruition

Hello Steemians,

Almost thirty days ago, my friend InquiringTimes asked me to do a post on Yusaymon, because he is an awesome guy. For one lame reason or another I have been putting off writing this post. Not because I didn't want to do it, but because I am inherently lazy and easily sidetracked by all the crack that goes on in Discord.

Soon after our original discussion (below), InquiringTimes came up with the notion to implement "Yusaymon Appreciation Month". We discovered a few weeks afterwards that Yusaymon is a Venezuelan expatriot living in the Dominican Republic to escape the unrest in his home country, and that right now he needs about $300 to pay fines for overstaying his visa in order to return to Venezuela. (the more time that passes, the more those fines increase!)

The end goal is to bring awareness to this wonderfully talented guy and all the amazing work he does, and also to direct the proceeds for posts to Yusaymon. Oh (ehem) and to get you all to follow him! https://steemit.com/@yusaymon.

I wouldnt mind doing that. but not for art-services. for yusamon. but i dont want to do it half azzed. what really needs to happen is an interview...later tonight i will try to put together a list of questions and do a bit of research on his blog... i cant understand why he is making so little - 414 votes and only $2.23?!! . {reference 2# TALENT🌟CHALLENGE}

that part is not as important. the important part is promoting his work. I've been friends with yusaymon for a while. if it was that simple...we wouldn't be here. part of the reason he isn't huge right now ...is that he has to transfer out earnings to eat (and pay bills)... he is doing this to live.

oh... just so you know.that post about yusaymon. can you make it titled "Yusaymon Appreciation Month". this is actually going to be a contest...all posts for yusaymon appreciation month must give liquid sbd to yusaymon.the best post for yusaymon appreciation month gets 1 month 100sp delegation.

Knowing InquiringTimes, he had at least a dozen similar conversations with other people urging them to similar mischief. Soon after the above convo, InquiringTimes released a post announcing Yusaymon Appreciation Month with the post Did you know that October is @yusaymon Appreciation Month?. This campaign to help a fellow Steemian has become an inspiration to help others. As the month has progressed, I have been keeping an eye on the many posts of both Yusaymon and the Steemians who took up the challenge to help support him.

Almost two weeks ago, I asked Aggroed on The Peace Academy for his assistance in supporting this initiative, and he pledged to support a post written by me. This post has the potential to be noticed by the rest of the Steemit community.

I want to assist Yusaymon in his journey by helping him Yu overcome his financial difficulties, so he can continue to become an incredible artist. As the month the draws to a close I am compelled to keep my promise to not only InquiringTimes and Yusaymon, but to the MSP community.

This post is an introduction, because I felt it important to bring attention to many of the fine people who have been instrumental in helping out. If you would like to see more of Yusaymons work, click here for his Milestone post. I wrote a second post called Yusaymon Inspiration Month.

And there you have it... the evolution of an idea... Desire to help. Idea into Action, Action into Initiative, Initiative into Reality. This is how we roll at Minnow Support Project.
