MERITS AND DEMERITS OF USING STEEMIT BOT

Hello Steemians! Am making these post to explain the merit and demerits of using bot for mostly newbies and the reason for making these post is also from m personal experience I got using bot.

WHAT IS STEEMIT

Steemit is a social networking and blogging website that is on top of the Steem blockchain database. Steemit was founded by Ned Scott and Dan Larimer and it was lunched on March 2016.
Steemit is a website that reward it user on the time and quality content contributed unlike other social networking website.

steemit bot is a software application that runs automated tasks on steemit, typically steemit bots perform tasks that are both simple and structurally repetitive, at a much higher rate than would be possible for a human alone.

TYPES OF STEEMIT BOT
We have two(2) type of steemit bot and all of them has their own rules

1. Paid bot:these type of bot are those that their price are fixed and some of the example of them are
   @minnowboster :these bot is one of the bot service on steemit,you send at least 1SBD to them with your post link you want them to upvote has memo and you get double the amount of the SBD, but the are some limitations when using the bot which is you can only use it once a day.

2. Bidding bot:these type of bot are those you will have to bid with other Steemians for their vote i.e the higher the SBD/STEEM you sent to them the higher percentage of their upvote that you will receive on your post,some examples of those bot are:

@Buildawhale :you send atleast 1.5sbd with your post link as memo to bid for their upvote

@upme :you send atleast 2.0sbd with your post link as memo to bid for their vote

The are so many other paid and bidding bot available I just had to select the best I know are reliable.

MERIT OF USING BOT
using a bot has few advantage to used of Steemians, mostly to newbies in the following way:

1. It help minnows and new users to get a little attention for their posts. But if the quality is not there then they won’t get far, but if the quality is there it can help grow followers.

2. It encourages people to purchase and use STEEM and SBD. SBD is one of the only cryptocurrencies that people actually use most often in promoting their posts. This should be encouraged as much as possible to help grow the value of SBD and steemit platform as a whole.

3. Another merit of using bot is when you need more STEEM power,you can power up 100% and use bot to boosted the post payout and the little SBD you sent to bot when the post reach payout the amount of STEEM POWER that will be claim from the post will be double the Sbd.

DEMERIT OF USING BOT
using of bot is not advisable for newbies because on steemit people follow other people for the quality of content the delivery and you also get rewarded for the quality and originality of you content and some of the great man I know reward minnows for there effort in delivery quality content are: @surpassinggoogle he one man that give back to the steemit community and even himself said in his post

Steemit was also a place where i could keep dreams alive in dream-bits and i would use my simple tiny posts to encrypt these ideas till they can play out into fruition and so, it didn't matter much if my posts earned much money because ofcourse.

So that should show to you that @surpassinggoogle rewards Original content because himself his original.
Another person that reward minnows for the quality content is @curie,@destinysaid
When I chatted with destinysaid once and I ask him how to go about on steemit community he told me

all you need on steemit community is to make quality content and interact with whales and other steemian
And it has actually work for me so I own a great thanks to him, also @mustard @candyman, @thejohalfiles also reward quality content.
So the merit of using bot are:

1. As a newbie using a bot on your post would actually make whales that would visit you blog and be following you stay back,most especially if you post is not of quality to them,that means if you don't have SBD/STEEM to send to bot your post will not be going anywhere.

2. Using a biding bot is risky in a way that if you do not really understand the rules of the bot you may end up loosing your SBD/STEEM.

3. Most time the payout gotten from a post you used bot to boost may not be up to the amount you used in sending for the upvote due to the percentage of upvote you got from the bot.

So may advise to Steemians is that we minimize the way we make used of steemit bot especially to newbie and If everyone are to start using bot the goal of steemit community will not be achieved.
